For this Beckenham townhouse, we designed a warm yet contemporary open-plan kitchen and dining space that balances elegance with functionality. The layout connects the dining area seamlessly with the kitchen, creating a social hub at the heart of the home.
A black stone dining table sits at the centre of the scheme, paired with solid wood dining chairs upholstered in a soft neutral fabric to achieve both comfort and refinement. Overhead, sculptural pendant lights add a sense of movement and modern artistry, while a suspended fireplace introduces a striking focal point and touch of cosiness.
The kitchen itself is anchored by a statement marble island, its veining lending depth and character. Dark cabinetry and integrated appliances contrast with the lighter tones of the island and dining space, creating a harmonious balance of materials. A glass-panelled doorway at the rear provides both definition and flow, ensuring the room feels connected yet considered.
Natural textures, layered lighting and clean architectural lines define this project, delivering a sophisticated environment tailored for both family living and entertaining.
